The Painters Den Refund & Returns Policy

1. Right to Cancel (Change of Mind)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to notify us of a return. You then have a further 14 days to return the items to us.
  • Condition: Items must be unopened, unused, and in a resaleable condition. For safety and quality reasons, paint tins must still have their original factory seal intact.
  • Standard Items: Brushes, rollers, trays, and pre-packaged "off-the-shelf" paints are eligible for return.
  • Shipping: For "change of mind" returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
2. Important Exceptions (Non-Returnable Items)
  • Custom Mixed Paints: Paints tinted to a specific colour at your request are considered bespoke/personalised goods and are exempt from the right to cancel. These cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
  • Wallpaper (Part Orders): We cannot accept returns for individual rolls from a larger order if they are from a different batch than our current stock.
  • Cut-to-Length Items: Any fabrics or materials cut to your specific measurements are non-returnable.
3. Faulty or Damaged Goods
If your items arrive damaged (e.g., a leaking paint tin) or are faulty:
  • 30-Day Right to Reject: You are entitled to a full refund if the fault is reported within 30 days of delivery.
  • Evidence: Please take photos of any damage or leakage before opening the parcel further, as this helps us claim with our couriers.
  • Bespoke Faults: If a custom-mixed paint is faulty (e.g., incorrect colour match against the order), we will offer a replacement or refund.
4. How to Process a Return
  1. Email Us: Contact hello@ahmegastore.co.uk with your order number and photos of the items.
  2. Packaging: Paint and decorating supplies are heavy and fragile. Please use the original protective packaging to prevent leaks or damage during the return journey.
  3. Refund: Once inspected and approved, your refund will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the goods back.
5. Advice for Decorators
We recommend not booking professional decorators until your items have arrived and been inspected. We cannot be held liable for any "lost labour" costs due to delivery delays or faulty products.
